Lending Regulations

1. The Speel-O-Theek exclusively lends toys and games to their members.
The toys and games are suitable for children of all ages.

2. The subscription costs are mentioned in the price list.

3. Children are only allowed to choose toys under supervision of a parent.
You can lend four toys/games per membership card. Costs are listed in the attached price list.

4. The lending period is set at three weeks. It is possible to extend the lending period but only once, provided that the toy is not reserved for someone else.

Extending the lending period can be done by phone, though this is only possible during opening hours. You can also extend by text message or WhatsApp. Your request will be processed during the next opening of the Speel-O-Theek.

5. If the lending period is exceeded, a fine will be charged per item.

If you have exceeded the lending deadline by two weeks, you will receive a reminder via text or WhatsApp.

6. There is a possibility to reserve toys/games. The fee for this is in the attached price list.

7. The membership card is valid for one year from the month of registration and can be renewed every year, which you must notify the administration yourself. If you fail to do so, the card will automatically expire

8. Members should communicate address changes to the administration as soon as possible.

9. The Speel-O-Theek expects a member to return the toys clean and complete.

In case of unexpected damage to the toy(s), you have to report this yourself upon return. A compensation may be requested; this will be assessed by the staff.

In case of loss or serious damage, you are obliged to pay the replacement value.

10. Should toys turn out to be incomplete when they are returned, we will charge €2.00 per part. Should the missing part be returned within one month, the amount paid will be refunded.

However, if the toy has become unusable due to the lost part, the "Claims Commission" will determine the amount you have to pay as compensation.

11. In all cases not covered by these regulations, the relevant working group/board of the Speel-O-Theek board will decide.

With the issue of a new regulation, the provisions of the previous regulations expire.
